paula-grantPaula Grant

Paula Grant is the Chief Officer at Voluntary Action North East Lincolnshire, the Vice Chair of the Northern Lincolnshire Local Action Group and the Chair of the North East Lincolnshire Strategic Partnership. Paula is also involved with various other local, sub regional and regional partnerships. She has a keen interest in rural development work having lived and worked on an arable farm, spent summer holidays during her university years working on Bishop Burton College’s farm then being employed by the college as their European Studies Coordinator. The latter post involved organising staff/ student exchange placements, work experience and project development.


roy2007fRoy Brixton

Until his retirement 10 years ago, Roy was a construction industry professional with a background in engineering and computing.  He has been employed by large and small companies, has been a director of some and has also spent many years as a civil servant.  He lives in Thornton Curtis, where he is a neighbourhood watch coordinator and a member of the parish council, of which he is the current chairman.  He is a volunteer member of the local action group and of its decision making panel.

 

godfrey3Janet Godfrey

Janet represents the National Farmers Union on the LAG. Janet is a trustee of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society and chairs the Farmlincs committee which is responsible for their educational remit.  Also chairing the the Market Development Advisory Committee of the Home Grown Cereals Authority, she is a past chairman of the Lincolnshire Forum for Agriculture and Horticulture and past National President of the Women’s Food and Farming Union.  She has a degree in agriculture and is a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Societies.  Janet has been involved in a number of local voluntary and sporting groups over the past 30 years, including fundraising for the NSPCC, and is an active member of Wootton St Andrews church.

Margaret spent the bulk of her career in banking and the National Health Service.  She has served 24 years as a Borough Councillor and was mayor in North East Lincolnshire on two separate occasions.
Margaret now works as a Parish Councillor in her local ward as well as a school governor. She has also been actively involved in raising funds for the Blue Cross Animal Hospital, delivering town twinning relationships in Europe working with the League of Friends and is patron of the Grimsby, Cleethorpes and District Youth Orchestra.
